Dalit associations stage dharna
http://deccanherald.com/deccanherald/aug24/dtf.htm A group of members of the various Dalit organisations staged a dharna here in front of the deputy commissioner`s office, alleging that Mr V Vijaykumar, proprietor of ''Crime Reporter`` magazine among other newspapers was publishing ''untrue and concocted`` write-ups and ''blackmailing`` some of the government servants among others. The organisations in a memorandum submitted to Governor V S Rama Devi, through the deputy commissioner, have demanded that the licence for these newspapers be cancelled. They have also alleged that the Mr Vijaykumar, who belongs to a Bhovi community, had also formed an organisation through which he endeavoured to pull in innocent Dalits in the wrong way.
